Continuing Education (CE) Credits

What are my education requirements?

Total hours for renewing a NYS RE license is 22.5 hour of CE credit every two year. When renewing a NYS Real Estate License the requirements can be met by taking NYSAR DOS approved classes that contain these topics, and/or by taking stand alone topic classes.

3 Hours of Fair Housing
1 Hour of Agency (if this is a first time renewal you need 2 hours)
2.5 Hours of Ethical Business Practices
1 Hour of Recent Legal Issues
2 Hours Implicit Bias
2 Hours Cultural Competency

You also need to complete 11 hours of elective classes approved for CE credit by the NYS DOS.
